This spacer is made of carbon steel, heat-treated and hardened. The sliding surfaces (where the seal makes contact and the main shaft side) are hard-chromed over the entire spacer for improved durability and rust prevention, with strict dimensional control for both inner and outer dimensions.\n\u003cbr\u003eFurthermore, to increase strength compared to the genuine part, the wall thickness is also made larger than the genuine part.\n\u003cbr\u003eThe dedicated seal used with this kit is not a repurposed seal from another model year, but an NTN brand seal from a major bearing manufacturer, chosen for its highest quality to match the spacer.\n\u003cbr\u003eIt can be used with genuine, Andrews, and aftermarket main drive gears.\n\u003cbr\u003eMetaform gaskets have been standard in Twin Cam and later models.\n\u003cbr\u003eA metaform gasket is a metal-based gasket that fills in microscopic irregularities on metal surfaces, stopping oil leaks much more efficiently than previous paper gaskets.\n\u003cbr\u003eBy developing a dedicated spacer, we can use metaform gaskets between the main drive gear spacer and the sprocket, between the sprocket and the lock tab, and between the lock tab and the special nut. This blocks oil leaks from metal-to-metal contact points where oil leaks could occur.\n\u003cbr\u003eAdditionally, the spacer is designed with a one-piece structure.
