Compared to aluminum, titanium has a lower thermal conductivity, meaning less heat is transferred to the fluid even when the caliper temperature rises, resulting in stable brake feel.
The surface is protected from scratches by a highly hard and wear-resistant TiN (titanium nitride) coating.
