Recovering can be done with a hand stapler (and its staples), a thin flat-head screwdriver, and needle-nose pliers (to remove staples).
Once you learn how to do it, it's surprisingly easy, and you might want to try recovering various designs of seat covers.
(Please be careful not to injure yourself with stapler staples during the recovering process.)
