Weight rollers are housed inside the variator pulley, and as the pulley rotates, centrifugal force causes the weight rollers to roll, enabling gear changes.
As the name suggests, weight rollers have two roles: weight (重り) and roller (転がる). By changing their weight, you can adjust the gear change settings.
