The Camel Toe Side Stand for the Africa Twin (CRF1000L) should be considered as a countermeasure product for the genuine cast aluminum side stand, which can break under normal usage conditions.
To put it simply, when you're fully loaded with luggage and riding tandem, you get on and off the bike while the side stand is down, right? If you repeat this, the genuine side stand will bend.
It's okay to straddle the bike with the side stand down!
You can even drop the bead of a tire by applying weight to the side stand when a fellow rider has a flat!
This side stand is TIG welded with CNC machined steel mounting lugs to thick DOM tubing. It features a camel-hoof shaped pad that is almost twice the size of the genuine part. Thanks to this, there is no need for enlargement with aftermarket pads.
Powder-coated finish to maintain durability and a beautiful appearance.
While the genuine part weighs approximately 300g, this one weighs about 690g, which is an increase in weight, but the increase in strength is incomparable!
