The Camel Toe Side Stand for the Africa Twin (CRF1000L) should be considered as a countermeasure for the genuine cast aluminum side stand, which can break under normal use conditions.
To put it simply, when you get on and off your bike with a full load + passenger while the side stand is down, if you repeat this, the genuine side stand will bend.
You can even straddle your bike with the side stand down!
You can even drop the bead by putting weight on the side stand when repairing a friend's flat tire!
This side stand is TIG welded with CNC machined steel mounting lugs to thick DOM tubing. It uses a camel-hoof shaped pad that is almost twice the size of the genuine one. Thanks to this, no enlargement with aftermarket pads is necessary.
Powder-coated for durability and a beautiful finish.
While the genuine product weighs approximately 300g, this one weighs approximately 690g, which is an increase in weight, but the strength increase is incomparable!
