The return spring of the genuine side stand has low restoring force, making it insufficient to keep the side stand up.
This is especially critical during off-road riding.
If the side stand drops even a few centimeters, the side stand safety switch can cut off the engine.
While originally designed for and included with the Camel Toe side stand, this spring can also be used independently as an upgrade for the genuine side stand return spring.
