The stock cam shape is generally circular, but by making the cam shape nonlinear at the beginning of the throttle cable pull, the snatch is tamed. Ultimately, the cam characteristic allows for full throttle at almost the same throttle opening as stock.

Teflon sleeves are built into both ends of the throttle tube, and combined with the cam characteristics, it is incomparably smoother than the genuine part.
