The OUTBACK skid plate for the CRF1100L Africa Twin features many changes.
As the engine width has increased, so has the skid plate.
The catalytic converter has been moved forward, requiring protection.
Small vent holes have been added to the skid plate to provide proper cooling while also offering protection.

● Protects vital engine parts
Protects the oil pan, engine case, oil cooler, oil filter, head pipe, and other components.
These are very costly parts to replace if damaged.
● Unique ventilation system design
This skid plate is not designed with unnecessary holes.
By preventing mud and debris from getting stuck between the skid plate, engine, and head pipe, the risk of overheating is reduced.
● Real adventure design
Not only designed with aerodynamics in mind, but also has excellent sliding and gentle bouncing characteristics in all situations.
● 4mm thick laser-cut aluminum
We chose to make our skid plates from ridiculously thick yet lightweight material.
● Sandblasted
Sandblasted to ensure the best possible adhesion for the coating.
This is a critical part of the manufacturing process. Sandblasted surfaces boast high durability.
● Powder coated
Combined with sandblasting, this protects the product's surface.
