For riders who want something truly tough, these guards were released after passing a torture test where the bike body was dragged around by heavy machinery.
They protect the lower part of the side plastic panels beneath the tank and the radiator guards. They also function as shields for the stator and clutch cover.
One of the greatest advantages of the Outback Motortek crash bar system is its 2mm thick, 27mm diameter tubes welded to steel mounting tabs.
This design is based on the philosophy that less is more, resulting in compact and robust crash bars where the crash point is close to the mounting point.

We chose not to cover the bike with crash bars that look like spiderwebs.
This is because it makes more sense to create solid, compact crash bars that provide strength close to the mounting points, rather than choosing a flexible, soft structure.
Compact and tough crash bars are the only solution to protect BMW's expensive and fragile genuine parts.
