By changing the insertion direction of the collar on the step's pivot shaft, you can switch between the standard position and a backward & lower position. Moving the step backward changes how traction is applied.
The step angle can be adjusted by altering the protrusion amount of the bolt that contacts the frame. Depending on the chosen angle, it can naturally encourage a knee-grip stance.
By changing the length of the cleat (pin), it can be converted to a pseudo-round step. This makes it easier to control with slight weight shifts.
The cleats (pins) are F3 type set screws in the standard configuration. Grip can be further customized by selecting optional parts.
