The Air EXT step is an evolution of the EVO Air step, a lightweight, machined aluminum wide step packed with features.
The step's rotational axis can be switched between the standard position and back & low by changing the insertion direction of the collar. By back-stepping, the traction engagement changes.
The step angle can be changed by adjusting the amount of bolt protrusion that contacts the frame. Depending on the chosen angle, it may naturally lead to a knee-grip posture.
The cleat (pin) length can be changed to simulate a round step. This makes it easier to control with slight shifts in body weight.
The cleats (pins) are F3 grub screw type in their standard configuration. Grip feel can be further adjusted by selecting optional parts.
Traction control is possible with the sub-step protruding backward. What used to be stepping on the step with points or lines can now be gripped with a surface, making control easier.
In continuous use by staff who frequently ride various off-road genres, there were no major deformations other than scratches.
