Daytona reinforced V-belts are developed to accommodate the increased power and tuning of sport scooters.
The under-rubber has been upgraded from a standard single-layer rubber structure to a dual-layer structure of standard rubber plus highly elastic, heat-resistant blended rubber, resulting in a high-grade finish that reduces belt slippage.
The core is made of 100% aramid fiber (though some products use other core materials). Furthermore, aramid fiber is blended into the top and bottom rubber, improving the lateral pressure rigidity, tensile strength, and slip resistance required of V-belts.
The blend ratios of each material are optimally chosen to match the engine characteristics of each manufacturer's vehicle.
The belt length is set and quality-controlled to achieve a reduction ratio equivalent to the stock belt when installed on the pulley, preventing adverse effects on slippage, acceleration from a stop, and top speed.
●As a result of testing, some products that achieved performance with core materials other than aramid fiber use other core materials + different types of highly elastic rubber.
