Daytona reinforced V-belts were developed to handle the increased power and high tuning of sport scooters.
The bottom rubber has been upgraded from a standard single-layer rubber structure to a double-layer structure consisting of standard rubber and highly elastic heat-resistant compound rubber, resulting in a high-grade finish that reduces belt slippage.
The core is made of 100% aramid fiber (though some products use other core materials). Furthermore, aramid fiber is blended into the top and bottom rubbers to improve the lateral pressure rigidity, tensile strength, and slip resistance required for V-belts.
The blend ratio of each material is optimally chosen to match the engine characteristics of each manufacturer's vehicle.
The belt length is set and quality-controlled to ensure the same reduction ratio as the original when installed on the pulley, so as not to adversely affect slippage, acceleration from a stop, or top speed.
●As a result of testing, some products that showed good performance with materials other than aramid fiber cores use other core materials + different types of high-elasticity rubber.
