・KTM's recommended genuine brake fluid. Highly fluid and ideal for ABS systems!
・This is a high-performance glycol ether hydraulic brake fluid with a very high boiling point of over 260°C (WET boiling point over 180°C). It has high fluidity even at low temperatures and is suitable for brake unit systems such as ABS. It can be topped up in brake and clutch systems that use DOT4, but we recommend a complete replacement for optimal performance.
・Conforms to US Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 116 DOT5.1 and ISO 4925 Class 5-1. *Precautions:
・Cannot be used in brake and clutch systems that use silicone-based fluids such as DOT5.0 or mineral oil.
・Mixing mineral oil-based and silicone-based brake fluids will cause the brakes to fail. Do not mix.
・Do not use for any purpose other than intended.
・Be careful not to get brake fluid on the vehicle (painted surfaces, metal surfaces, resin, rubber parts, etc.). If it gets on, immediately wash it off with water and wipe it dry, as it will damage the affected surface.
・Do not mix mineral oil (engine oil, gasoline, kerosene, light oil, etc.), vegetable oil, or thinners with brake fluid. This will cause abnormal expansion of the rubber cups, leading to brake failure.
・If brake fluid spills on the floor, immediately wash it off with water and wipe it dry.
・Wear appropriate safety glasses, a mask, protective gloves, and protective clothing.
・Change regularly according to the service manual issued by the vehicle manufacturer.
・DOT-4.0 cannot be used as a substitute for brake fluids such as DOT-5.1.
・Avoid getting the liquid on painted surfaces, rubber, and plastic parts as much as possible. If it does get on, wipe it off with a parts cleaner or similar.
