＜Adoption of a new pattern＞
By optimizing the groove placement through wear simulation, a long lifespan is achieved. The front tire features thick, long lateral grooves that run from the center to the shoulder, along with a center groove, to efficiently drain water and improve wet performance. In addition, the placement of flex sipes optimizes tread rigidity, improving road feel during cornering.
＜Adoption of silica compound＞
Dunlop has adopted a silica compound for scooter tires for the first time. The fine silica particles allow the tire to conform to small irregularities in the road surface, improving wet braking performance. This also contributes to a longer lifespan.
Achieves handling that is less tiring even on long tours
By adopting a single-R profile with a uniform radius of curvature for the tread cross-section, changes in the contact patch shape are suppressed even when the vehicle's lean angle changes, achieving smooth cornering characteristics. For the rear tire, optimizing the front-to-rear roll balance results in predictable handling.
Achieves a comfortable ride
By adopting a softer sidewall-specific compound than the tread, the deflection of the sidewall is optimized, improving ride comfort, especially during cornering. In addition, the use of strong and flexible polyester carcass provides smooth handling.
