The inner ring uses high-hardness 7075 T6 aluminum, while the outer ring uses non-electrolytic nickel-coated steel. This results in approximately 2.5 times the lifespan of a typical steel type (according to Renthal's research) and approximately 25 percent lighter weight compared to standard steel sprockets.
