[Gaerne No. 145 Wine Red Motorcycle Shoes, Boots, Waterproof] These boots not only provide the necessary performance for riding a motorcycle, but also envelop your feet securely and achieve a high level of function as walking tools.
With each wear, these shoes become an extension of the owner's body, growing with various memories. Although their appearance is that of traditional shoes, these are the culmination of GAERNE's craftsmanship. Packed with expertise from mountain climbing boots, despite their simple shape, these shoes feature a three-layer Norwegian-welted sole, fiber cups in the toe and heel, and an inner foam that gently cradles the foot.
They are loaded with technology for riding. The crystallization of Gaerne's technology is the No. 145.
[Upper Material]
ANFIBIO leather is the highest quality full-grain leather, permitted for use only in Gaerne's high-end models. It is characterized by its extreme durability yet softens with use. Furthermore, it is resistant to dirt and the material itself has a certain degree of water resistance (however, it is not completely waterproof). Dyed ANFIBIO leather takes on an uneven coloration, creating a unique texture. Another significant feature of this leather is how its color changes over time.
[Sole Construction]
What distinguishes this shoe is the Norwegian welt construction, commonly known as "Norvegiese." This construction method offers various advantages by stitching the upper, insole, and outsole together with a unique lockstitch. For example, the sole is thick and resistant to deformation, possesses extremely high rigidity, results in a robust and long-lasting finish, and the sole can be replaced. As it is a staple in high-end men's shoes, it has historically been the optimal method for creating sturdy and beautifully finished shoes. However, the drawback is the high cost due to the complex process involved. Therefore, many shoes may appear to be Norwegian or Goodyear welted but are actually different. These shoes are produced with the desire to deliver authenticity, disregarding such costs. Gaerne calls shoes like the No. 145 and FUGA "integral shoes," meaning "shoes that completely envelop the foot."
