This is the S&S Stealth Air Cleaner for Twin Cam engines. It's a performance part for which the manufacturer has released data showing an estimated 2-4 horsepower increase when replacing the stock air cleaner. Furthermore, if combined with S&S slip-on mufflers, it's said that a 10 horsepower increase can be achieved. Of course, while being high-flow, it also effectively traps airborne dust. The backplate includes a breather passage, and other mounting bolts are included, so this kit alone can be installed on compatible models. While using this kit alone is good, you can also use separately sold S&S design air cleaner covers, or for Twin Cam models, even use the genuine Harley-Davidson cover. This is the perfect kit for those who were interested in the performance of the classic S&S teardrop but were hesitant due to its appearance. Please give it a try.
