This is an S&S Stealth Air Cleaner for EVO. This performance part is advertised by the manufacturer to increase horsepower by 2-4 HP when replacing the stock air cleaner. Furthermore, when combined with S&S slip-on mufflers, it is said to achieve up to a 10 HP increase. Of course, while being high-flow, it also firmly traps dust in the air. The backplate has a breather passage, and other mounting bolts are included, so this kit alone can be installed on compatible models.
