Regarding compatibility, in addition to the overall length, the travel length is also important. Travel length = (inner cable) - (outer cable). If the cable is longer than necessary, it will not pull properly, and the clutch will not disengage. *2. Dyna models are slightly longer (around 2 inches) than Softail models for all model years, so BT cables are designed to match Dyna OEM specifications. The travel length is the same. *3. The travel length for XL models from 2004 onwards and Big Twin models up to 2006 is the same. *4. Please note that length data is based on "actual measurements" and may vary slightly. Compatible with: Big Twin models from 87-99, XL models from 04 onwards (oversize).
