Travel length = (inner cable) - (outer cable). If it is longer than necessary, the cable will not pull properly, and the clutch will not disengage. *2 Dyna models are slightly longer (approx. 2 inches) than Softail models for all model years, so the BT model is designed to match the Dyna OEM. The travel length is the same. *3 The travel for XL models from '04 onwards and Big Twin models up to '06 is the same. *4 Please note that the length data is "actual measurement" and may have slight variations.
