By setting the ignition timing to be slower, the engine's revving sensation might be slightly reduced, but the mechanical advance increases the thumping "dokodoko" feel, and it also makes it easier to achieve the "3-beat" rhythm. *If the points cover is riveted, it will need to be removed with a drill.
