Up to the Evolution, simultaneous ignition was the genuine specification, but by converting this to independent ignition, the exhaust note becomes crisper and the idling sound changes.

Simultaneous ignition and independent ignition can be set with the MODE SELECT dial.
By using a separately sold USB interface, the ignition advance curve can be arbitrarily set on a computer.
