The Mikuni HSR 42 Easy KIT is a forced-opening/closing carburetor designed specifically for Harley-Davidson motorcycles.
It provides sharp acceleration that you can feel across the entire range, from low to high speeds.
Since the genuine manifold is used, it is a high-performance carburetor that is also excellent in terms of cost-effectiveness.
It can be installed on EVO and Twin Cam carburetor models.
For Twin Cam models, the genuine air cleaner can be used. (However, since the intake efficiency is not good, we recommend changing to S&S, etc.)
This is a carburetor recommended by Guts Chrome.
The factory setting for EVO is MJ160/PJ25.
When using it for a Twin Cam, it is necessary to replace the jet with the one included in the kit and adjust the needle position.
Since the settings vary depending on the engine and vehicle condition, please have the installation and settings performed by a professional shop.
*This kit uses the genuine manifold.
The intake manifold seal is not included, so please purchase it separately. [14-0180 Carburetor Seal, Manifold]

*The genuine CV carb throttle/idle cables for 1990 and later models can be used as is.
*The choke cable requires transplanting from the genuine one.
*When installing on vehicles before 1989, [Part No. 007-460 Mikuni Intake Manifold Rubber Flange]
and [Part No. 1990-95 CV Throttle/Idle Cable]
[Part No. 36-2555 CV Choke Cable *Processing may be required for the fixing position.]
Also, unlike Keihin butterfly carburetors, this is a spigot-type carburetor, so please take measures to prevent it from falling off, such as with part number 6100-9084 carb support. The air cleaner hole positions of Keihin butterfly and HSR are not compatible, so if you change to HSR, you will need to purchase an air cleaner for a CV carburetor.
This kit is for models from 1990 onwards, so when installing on vehicles before 1989, other modifications may be necessary.
