33.4mm Fork Inner Tube +4 Inches
These are inner tubes that are 4 inches longer than the stock front forks used on XL and FX models from 1957-72.
Following the success of our +8 inch over tubes, we received numerous requests for +4 and +6 inch longer tubes. We commissioned a company in Japan that manufactures inner tubes for restoring old KAWASAKI models to handle the design and material selection, and then produced them at an overseas factory.
The material used is STKM13C (seamless) carbon steel mechanical tubing.
Installation must be performed by a motorcycle repair shop.
Stock springs will be too short by 4 inches, so please assemble using PVC pipes or similar materials yourself.
There are three types of 33.4mm forks:
1952-67 Early model: Long rod suspension type, no collar required.
*Since the piston rod will be too short due to the increased length, an extension is required on the upper part of the rod.
One-off fabrication on a lathe or similar may be necessary, so please consult a capable shop.
1968-70 Mid-model: Collar required.
1971-72 Late model: Collar required.
*When installing on genuine triples, honing of the triple-side inner diameter is required because the genuine inner tubes were not chrome-plated, resulting in a smaller inner diameter at the insertion part.
Aftermarket trees are made to match aftermarket 33.4mm forks and can be used as is.
