33.4mm Fork Inner Tube +6 inch
These are 6-inch longer inner tubes than the stock front forks used on XL and FX models from 1957-72.
Following the +8 inch over, we received many requests for +4 and +6 inch longer tubes. We commissioned a company in Japan that manufactures inner tubes for restoring old KAWASAKI models to design, consider materials, and produce these tubes at an overseas factory.
The material is STKM13C (seamless) carbon steel mechanical tubing.
Installation must be performed by a motorcycle repair shop.
Stock springs will be 4 inches too short, so please use PVC pipes or similar for assembly yourself.
There are three types of 33.4mm forks.
1952-67 Early model: long rod suspension type; no collar needed.
*Since the piston rod will be shorter due to the increased length, an extension is needed on the upper part of the rod.
One-off manufacturing on a lathe or similar will be required, so please consult with a shop that can install it.
1968-70 Mid-model: collar required.
1971-72 Late model: collar required.
*When installing on a genuine triple tree, honing of the triple tree side is required because the inner diameter of the insertion part is smaller, as the genuine inner tubes were not chrome-plated.
Aftermarket triple trees are designed to fit aftermarket 33.4mm forks, so they can be used as is.
