■Product Description In 1955, around the time the Panhead evolved from FL to FLH, a new cable wrap was added to Harley's optional parts. The new product from 1955 differed from the bulky type of the Knucklehead era, adopting a flat shape with a white center section. Cable coils (cable wraps) are a very easy and recommended item for dressing up drum cables, spark plug wires, etc., on vintage Harleys and custom vehicles. However, the genuine Harley cable wraps from that era are already depleted, and even if they did appear on eBay, they would be very expensive, costing over $200, and are now almost impossible to find. Although chrome-plated replicas are available from VTWIN, other two-tone color types with white in the middle, which were sold as genuine parts, were virtually impossible to obtain. For many years, I had envisioned somehow reproducing HD optional cable wraps, and through word of mouth, I finally found a manufacturer capable of producing them, and we were able to begin manufacturing! First, I obtained a reproduction of the optional parts list from that era to accurately identify the part numbers and color combinations. For actual production, I obtained a piece of the original black/white cable from that time to determine the exact ratio of black and white. The dimensions were made slightly larger to be easier to use with modern cables.
