■Product Description: R&U Aluminum Top Cover for CV Carburetor. This is a top cover for CV carburetors, made from billet aluminum with a渋い (shibui - subdued, tasteful) finish through barrel polishing. It's recommended for bikes pre-Shovelhead, or for EVO and TC models with an old-school custom style. Each cover is machined from a solid block of aluminum and then barrel polished. Since the CV carburetor typically has a black top, it tends to stand out unpleasantly. Installing this top cover reduces the carb's visual prominence. The CV carburetor, being a constant vacuum carburetor like the SU, offers stable performance even at low speeds, and with its acceleration pump, it provides good throttle response during acceleration. It's highly recommended even for pre-Shovelhead engines. Specifications: Currently, excellent adapters are available that allow the CV carburetor to be press-fit and converted to a 2-bolt mounting system. This makes it easy to install CV carburetors on early model Shovelheads.
