■Product Description
R&U FLANDERS Style Chrome Riser Set
*Previously, these were made of steel, but due to a high defect rate during plating at the manufacturing factory, the base material for this shipment has been changed to stainless steel, and then chrome plated.
The plating is very clean, and the difference between iron and stainless steel is indistinguishable visually, resulting in a high-quality finish.
These are R&U original stainless steel risers, designed by sampling FLANDERS' distinctive rounded shape to match well with glide risers and springer top tees.
The height is quite low at 1-1/4 inches (approx. 32mm).
*This is the height from the seating surface of the lower base to the flat part of the upper surface.
If measured at the center of the actual handlebars, it will be a few millimeters higher.
They are created by casting, then polished, and finally chrome plated.
The top clamping bolts are also finished in chrome.
(The top bolt size is 5/16-24x1”).
*The surface where the tool for the riser fits is sufficiently secured to ensure that the tightening tool bites firmly, allowing for proper torque application.
Additionally, the seating surface is designed to be almost the same size as the diameter of solid mounts commonly used with glide risers, which makes the solid mount less noticeable when installed, resulting in a smarter fit.
(This is similar to Pauly risers.)
Since the seating surface diameter is approximately 36.9mm, it can also be used in combination with earless top tees for springers.
(Risers from other companies with smaller seating surface diameters could not be used in combination because the riser would fit inside the hole of the top tee.)
The compatible riser bolts are 1/2-20 fine thread.
Vehicles already using fine thread bolts can use them as is.
*If you are using 1/2-13 coarse thread bolts, please purchase 1/2-20 fine thread riser bolts separately.
*Please note that when combined with 39mm triples from 2004 onwards, the seating surface diameter is larger than the raised design of the triple, causing it to protrude.
