・A new proposal from IRC, a mild touring radial.
・Here is a touring radial that covers everything from touring to winding roads, featuring excellent shock absorption and straightforward, mild handling.
・Generally, pursuing wear resistance tends to reduce grip, while pursuing grip tends to sacrifice wear resistance. The RMC810 was developed with the aim of achieving a good balance of both.
Features:
【Structure】
・Robust construction with thick nylon and aramid
Thick nylon cords are used for the base, and strong, lightweight aramid cords are used for the belt. By using 0-degree belted aramid cords, a supple ride is achieved while maintaining rigidity. This allows for enjoyable touring.
【Pattern】
・Thick, wide grooves ensure high drainage
Sporty, thick, wide grooves and a small change in negative ratio (groove ratio on the tread surface) from the center to the shoulder ensure high drainage performance during cornering, similar to straight-line driving. This allows for worry-free driving even in sudden rain. To suppress uneven wear, the front tire adopts a pattern arrangement opposite to that of the rear tire.
【Compound】
・Silica-blended compound provides high grip
For the ZR range, a silica-blended compound was adopted, achieving a top-class temperature rise rate that is significantly faster than typical touring radial tires. The stable grip exhibited from initial driving ensures performance that broadly covers everything from touring to winding roads.
【Tire Shape】
・Straightforward handling and stability from a gentle cross-sectional shape
The front tire has a profile with little change in shape from straight-line to full bank. For the rear tire, which experiences greater forces than the front, a profile with a large crown R focused on stability was adopted. By making both front and rear profiles gentle, consistent stability is achieved during straight-line driving and cornering. This sense of stability will be welcomed by riders who are not good at quick movements during turns.
