"Iridium Racing" - a racing-specific iridium plug that maximizes iridium performance.
●0.8mm Square All-Platinum Ground Electrode
Compared to the nickel alloy used for ground electrodes in conventional spark plugs, platinum has a higher melting point,
reducing problems such as melting and wear of the ground electrode even under severe racing conditions.
Furthermore, a 0.8mm square platinum alloy is welded and formed into a gap without bending, which eliminates residual stress and improves durability. *Excluding RU01
●0.4mm Diameter Ultra-Fine Iridium Center Electrode
By adopting "new iridium alloy," a high melting point material, the tip of the center electrode has been made ultra-fine. This reduces flashover voltage and significantly improves ignition performance. *Excluding RU01
●Flame Cleaning Pocket
Small gaps have been provided around the entire circumference of the clearance tip between the center electrode and the insulator. When fouled or carbon-fouled, carbon is burned off to restore insulation.
●Silicone Oil Coating
For racing vehicles, fouling and carbon adhesion before starting are fatal. To prevent this,
the water repellency of the silicone on the insulator separates moisture and carbon from the insulator surface, preventing a drop in the plug's insulation.
●Housing End Chamfering
To improve resistance to abnormal combustion, the chamfer at the housing end has been enlarged.
This helps to cover some minor setting discrepancies.
In addition, it facilitates the discharge of residual gas and the inflow of new gas, improving self-cleaning performance and making it less prone to fouling.
