"Iridium Racing" - a race-specific iridium plug that maximizes the performance of iridium.
● 0.8mm square all-platinum ground electrode
Compared to the nickel alloy used for ground electrodes in conventional spark plugs, platinum has a higher melting point, so
even under the harsh driving conditions of racing, problems such as melting or wear of the ground electrode are reduced.
In addition, a 0.8mm square platinum alloy is welded and the gap is formed without bending, so there is no residual stress and durability is improved. *Excludes RU01
● 0.4mm diameter ultra-fine iridium center electrode
By adopting "new iridium alloy," a high melting point material, the tip of the center electrode is made ultra-fine, reducing spark voltage and significantly improving ignition performance. *Excludes RU01
● Flame cleaning pocket
A small gap is provided around the entire tip of the clearance between the center electrode and the insulator. When fouled or carbon-fouled, it burns off carbon and restores insulation.
● Silicone oil application
For racing vehicles, fouling and carbon deposits before starting are fatal. To prevent this,
the water repellency of silicone on the insulator causes water and carbon on the insulator surface to detach, preventing the plug's insulation from deteriorating.
● Chamfering of housing end face
To improve resistance to abnormal combustion, the chamfering of the housing end face has been enlarged.
This also covers slight deviations in settings.
In addition, it facilitates the discharge of residual gas and the influx of new gas, and improves self-cleaning performance, making it less prone to fouling.
