"Iridium Racing," an iridium spark plug exclusively for racing that maximizes the performance of iridium.
●0.8mm square all-platinum ground electrode
Compared to the nickel alloy used for the ground electrodes of conventional spark plugs, platinum has a higher melting point, so
even under the harsh driving conditions of racing, problems such as melting or wear of the ground electrode are reduced.
In addition, a 0.8mm square platinum alloy is welded and gap-formed without bending, so there is no residual stress and durability is improved. *Excludes RU01
●0.4mm diameter ultra-fine iridium center electrode
By adopting the high-melting point material "new iridium alloy," the tip of the center electrode is made ultra-fine. This reduces flashover voltage and significantly improves ignition performance. *Excludes RU01
●Flame Cleaning Pocket
Small gaps have been created all around the tip of the clearance between the center electrode and the insulator. This burns off carbon when the plug is fouled or carbonized, restoring insulation.
●Silicon oil coating
For racing vehicles, fouling and carbon deposits before the start are fatal. To prevent this,
the water repellency of the silicon on the insulator separates moisture and carbon from the insulator surface, preventing a drop in the plug's insulation.
●Chamfered housing end face
The chamfering of the housing end face has been increased to improve resistance to abnormal combustion.
This helps to cover minor setting deviations.
In addition, the discharge of residual gases and the influx of new gases are facilitated, improving self-cleaning performance and making the structure less prone to fouling.
