"Iridium Racing" - a racing-specific iridium plug that maximizes the performance of iridium.
● 0.8mm Square All-Platinum Ground Electrode
Compared to the nickel alloy used for the ground electrode in conventional spark plugs, platinum has a higher melting point,
which reduces problems like melting and wear of the ground electrode even under the severe operating conditions of racing.
In addition, a 0.8mm square platinum alloy is welded and gap-formed without bending, resulting in no residual stress and improved durability. *Excludes RU01
● 0.4mm Diameter Ultra-Fine Iridium Center Electrode
By adopting "new iridium alloy," a high-melting-point material, the tip of the center electrode is made ultra-fine, reducing spark voltage and significantly improving ignition performance. *Excludes RU01
● Flame Cleaning Pocket
A small gap is provided around the entire circumference of the tip of the clearance between the center electrode and the insulator. This burns off carbon when the plug is fouled or carbon-fouled, restoring insulation.
● Silicone Oil Application
For racing vehicles, fouling and carbon deposits before the start can be fatal. To prevent this,
the water repellency of silicone on the insulator separates moisture and carbon from the insulator surface, preventing a drop in the plug's insulation performance.
● Chamfered Housing End Face
The chamfer on the end face of the housing has been enlarged to improve resistance to abnormal combustion.
This helps to compensate for slight setting deviations.
Additionally, it facilitates the expulsion of residual gases and the influx of new gases, improving self-cleaning performance and making the structure less prone to fouling.
