"Iridium Racing," a race-specific iridium spark plug that maximizes iridium's performance.
●0.8mm square all-platinum ground electrode
Compared to the nickel alloy used for ground electrodes in conventional spark plugs, platinum has a higher melting point,
reducing the risk of melting and wear of the ground electrode even under harsh racing conditions.
Additionally, a 0.8mm square platinum alloy is welded and gap-formed without bending, eliminating residual stress and improving durability. *Excludes RU01
●0.4mm diameter ultra-fine iridium center electrode
By adopting the high-melting point material "New Iridium Alloy," the tip of the center electrode is made extremely fine. This reduces spark voltage and significantly improves ignition performance. *Excludes RU01
●Flame Cleaning Pocket
A small gap has been created all around the tip of the clearance between the center electrode and the insulator. This burns off carbon when the plug is fouled or carbon-fouled, restoring insulation.
●Silicon oil application
For racing vehicles, fouling and carbon build-up before starting are critical. To prevent this,
the water repellency of silicon on the insulator separates moisture and carbon from the insulator surface, preventing a drop in the plug's insulation performance.
●Housing end chamfer
The chamfer at the end of the housing has been enlarged to improve resistance to abnormal combustion.
This helps to compensate for minor tuning inaccuracies.
In addition, it facilitates the discharge of residual gas and the influx of new gas, improving self-cleaning performance and making it less prone to fouling.
