In the harsh operating conditions of a high-tuned engine, the stock cam chain tensioner can deform, leading to unexpected problems.
The SPL cam chain tensioner uses machined aluminum for increased strength. Furthermore, by widening the contact surface of the tensioner push rod, deformation is prevented, thus preventing problems.
