Significant improvement in heat resistance through nitriding and removal of residual stress in the surface layer through WPC treatment dramatically improve fatigue strength.
WPC clutch center springs strengthen the spring, promoting pulley shifting within the torque band. This allows the pulley, which was in a high ratio state, to quickly and forcibly return to a low ratio during deceleration to rapid acceleration or on slopes, resulting in crisp shifting characteristics.
Like roller weights, WPC clutch center springs are tuning parts, so the best spring strength will vary depending on the rider's weight, the machine's usage intensity, and even preferred riding characteristics.
Installing only the center spring can hinder shifting and, as a result, may lead to a decrease in top speed.
