This air filter is recommended for use with standard carburetors.
Since the intake efficiency will change, carburetor tuning is required.
When riding in the rain, water may enter the filter, which can alter the carburetor settings.
For exhaust gas regulated models from the 2000 model year onwards: For exhaust gas compliant models, power filters etc. are not recommended because their lean combustion may make it difficult to achieve proper settings.
For F1 vehicles: For F1 vehicles, do not install power filters or air funnels as they are, as this will disrupt fuel regulation.
However, this excludes cases where a device capable of fuel regulation (e.g., an injection controller or a KITACO I-MAP) is installed and proper settings can be achieved.
If the filter diameter is a few millimeters smaller than the carburetor opening diameter, it will be a bit tight when fitting but can be installed by pushing it on.
If a long rear shock is installed, the filter may interfere with the body.
This is a high-efficiency filter with a two-layer structure, featuring a coarse filter sponge on the outside and a fine one on the inside.
It is a self-cleaning filter that catches large dirt and dust particles, and also sheds dirt and dust that adhere due to vibrations during riding.
