This air filter is recommended for normal carburetors.
Since the intake efficiency changes, carburetor settings are required.
When riding in the rain, water may enter the filter, and the carburetor settings may change.
Regarding exhaust gas regulated models from the 2000 model year: For exhaust gas regulated models, which use lean combustion, it may not be possible to achieve proper settings, so installing power filters or similar is not recommended.
Regarding F1 vehicles: For F1 vehicles, do not install power filters or air funnels as they are, as this will disrupt fuel regulation.
However, this does not apply if a device capable of fuel regulation (injection controller, KITACO's I-MAP) is installed and settings can be achieved.
If the filter diameter is a few millimeters smaller than the carburetor opening of the vehicle, it will be a little tight when fitting, but can be installed by pushing it in.
If a long rear shock is installed, the filter may interfere with the body.
This is a highly efficient filter with a two-layer structure, featuring a coarse filter sponge on the outside and a finer one on the inside.
It is a self-cleaning filter that catches large debris and dust, and shakes off accumulated debris and dust due to vibrations during riding.
