The timing for sprocket replacement is very ambiguous, with no clear standards.
One factor to consider is "wear on the tooth tips."
If the tooth tips become pointed, or the belly or sides are worn down, it's time for replacement.
Replacing all three components simultaneously: front sprocket, rear sprocket, and chain. If you only replace one of these components, the worn parts that were not replaced will prevent the new part from performing optimally and shorten its lifespan. Therefore, replacing all three simultaneously is recommended for long-term durability.
