When to replace a sprocket is very ambiguous, as there are no clear standards.
One factor to consider is "wear on the sprocket teeth."
If the teeth have become sharp, or the belly or sides are worn, it's time for a replacement.
Replacing all three components—front and rear sprockets and chain—simultaneously. If you only replace one worn part, the new part will not be able to achieve its original performance and durability due to the remaining worn parts, thus shortening its lifespan. Therefore, replacing all three simultaneously is recommended for long-term durability.
