The timing for replacing a sprocket is very ambiguous, with no clear standards.
One factor to consider when making a judgment is "tooth wear."
When the teeth become pointed or the belly and sides are worn down, it's time for a replacement.
Replacing only one of the three components – front sprocket, rear sprocket, and chain – will prevent the new part from achieving its full performance and durability due to the wear of the unreplaced parts, leading to an earlier replacement time. Therefore, considering the long term, replacing all three simultaneously is recommended as it will last longer.
