【KITACO 535-1036231 Driven Sprocket Rear 31T 420 Size NS50F NSR50 KITACO 535-1036231】
There is no clear standard for when to replace a sprocket, making it very ambiguous.
One factor for judgment is "tooth wear."
If the teeth become pointed or the belly or sides are worn, it's time to replace it.
If you only replace one of the three components (front sprocket, rear sprocket, and chain), the new part will not be able to achieve its original performance and durability due to the wear of the unreplaced parts, which will shorten its lifespan. Therefore, from a long-term perspective, replacing all three at the same time is recommended as it will last longer.
This is the rear sprocket (wheel side).
To enable precise settings, it supports tuners with a wide range of tooth counts and reasonable pricing.
Made from chromoly high-tensile steel, boasting high durability.
Sprockets are consumables.
As a general guideline for regular driving, inspect the sprocket approximately every 1000km (daily lubrication significantly improves the lifespan of sprockets and chains).
The larger the reduction ratio (rear sprocket tooth count ÷ front sprocket tooth count), the more acceleration-oriented it is; the smaller the ratio, the more top speed-oriented it is.
