There is no clear standard for when to replace a sprocket, making it very ambiguous.
One indicator for judgment is "tooth wear."
When the teeth become sharp, or the belly or sides are worn down, it's time for a replacement.
If you only replace one of the front sprocket, rear sprocket, and chain, the worn-out parts that were not replaced will prevent the new parts from performing at their full potential and durability, leading to an earlier replacement time. Therefore, replacing all three simultaneously is recommended for long-term durability.
This is the rear (wheel side) sprocket.
To enable precise settings, it supports tuners with a wide range of tooth counts and reasonable pricing.
Made from highly durable chromoly high-tensile steel.
Sprockets are consumable parts.
As a general guideline, inspect your sprockets approximately every 1000km of normal driving (daily lubrication significantly extends the life of sprockets and chains).
The larger the reduction ratio (rear sprocket teeth ÷ front sprocket teeth), the more acceleration-oriented it is; the smaller the ratio, the more top-speed-oriented it is.
