There are no clear criteria for when to replace a sprocket, so it's very ambiguous.
The main indicator for replacement is "tooth wear."
If the teeth become pointed, or the belly or sides are worn down, it's time for a replacement.
When replacing sprockets, it's recommended to replace the front sprocket, rear sprocket, and chain all at the same time. If you only replace one of these parts, the worn parts that haven't been replaced will prevent the new part from performing optimally and lasting as long as it should, leading to an earlier replacement. Considering the long-term, replacing all three at once is recommended as it will last longer.
This is the rear sprocket (wheel side).
To enable detailed tuning, it supports tuners with a wide range of tooth counts and reasonable pricing.
Made from highly durable chrome molybdenum high-tensile steel.
Sprockets are consumables.
For general riding, inspect the sprocket approximately every 1000 km (regular lubrication significantly extends the life of sprockets and chains).
Rear sprocket tooth count ÷ front sprocket tooth count = reduction ratio. A higher number indicates a focus on acceleration, while a lower number indicates a focus on top speed.
