There are no clear criteria for when to replace a sprocket, making it a very ambiguous decision.
One indicator that can help is "tooth wear."
If the teeth have become pointed, or if the belly or sides have worn down, it's time for a replacement.
Simultaneous replacement of all three: front and rear sprockets and chain. If you only replace one of these parts, the worn parts that haven't been replaced will prevent the new parts from performing at their full potential and durability, leading to an earlier replacement time. Therefore, considering the long-term, it's recommended to replace all three simultaneously for longer life.
This is the rear (wheel side) sprocket.
To enable fine-tuning, it supports tuners with a wide range of tooth counts and reasonable pricing.
Made from highly durable chrome-molybdenum high-tensile steel.
Sprockets are consumable parts.
As a general guideline for regular driving, inspect the sprocket every approximately 1000 km (regular lubrication significantly extends the life of sprockets and chains).
The larger the reduction ratio (rear sprocket tooth count ÷ front sprocket tooth count), the more acceleration-oriented it is; the smaller the ratio, the more top-speed-oriented it is.
Compatible models: Monkey / Baja Gorilla (Z50J-1300017-/AB27-1000001-1899999) ・ Monkey FI (AB27-1900001-)
