The timing for replacing a sprocket is very ambiguous, with no clear standard.
One factor for determining this is "tooth wear."
If the teeth become pointed, or if the belly or sides are worn down, it's time for a replacement.
Simultaneous replacement of the front and rear sprockets and chain (all three) If you only replace one of these parts, the worn parts that were not replaced will prevent the new parts from performing optimally and lasting as long as they should, leading to an earlier replacement time. Therefore, considering the long-term, it is recommended to replace all three parts simultaneously as they will last longer.
