When to replace sprockets: There is no clear standard for sprocket replacement, making it very ambiguous.
One factor to consider is "tooth wear."
If the teeth have become pointed, or the belly or sides are worn, it's time to replace them.
Replacing front and rear sprockets and chain simultaneously: If you only replace one of the three, the worn, unreplaced parts will prevent the new parts from performing optimally and lasting as long as they should, leading to earlier replacement. Therefore, considering the long term, replacing all three simultaneously is recommended for greater longevity.
This is the rear (wheel side) sprocket.
To enable fine-tuned settings, we support tuners with a wide range of tooth counts and reasonable pricing.
Made from highly durable chromoly high-tensile steel.
Sprockets are consumables.
As a general guideline for normal driving, inspect the sprocket approximately every 1000km (daily lubrication significantly extends the life of both sprockets and chain).
Rear sprocket tooth count ÷ Front sprocket tooth count = Reduction ratio. A higher reduction ratio indicates a focus on acceleration, while a lower ratio indicates a focus on top speed.
Compatible models: Monkey/Baja/Gorilla (Z50J-1300017-/AB27-1000001-1899999)・Monkey FI (AB27-1900001-)
