There is no clear standard for when to replace a sprocket, making it a very ambiguous decision.
The key indicator for replacement is "tooth wear."
If the teeth become pointed, or if the belly or sides are worn down, it's time for a replacement.
Simultaneous replacement of front and rear sprockets and chain: If you only replace one of these three parts, the worn parts that were not replaced will prevent the new part from performing optimally and lasting as long as it should, leading to an earlier replacement. Therefore, considering the long term, it is recommended to replace all three at the same time for better durability.
This is the rear sprocket (wheel side).
We support tuners with a wide range of tooth counts and reasonable pricing to enable precise settings.
Made from highly durable chromoly high-tensile steel.
Sprockets are consumables.
As a general guideline for normal driving, please inspect the sprocket every approximately 1000km (regular lubrication significantly improves the lifespan of sprockets and chains).
Rear sprocket tooth count ÷ front sprocket tooth count = reduction ratio. A higher value indicates acceleration-focused, while a lower value indicates top-speed-focused.
Compatible models: Monkey/Baja Gorilla (Z50J-1300017-/AB27-1000001-1899999)・Monkey FI (AB27-1900001-)
